Some of the countries of Middle East have very less tolerance for rains. The cities are not designed in a way where it can withstand too much of rain. In these places first of all it does not rain much. In the whole year it may rain for 2 to 3 days and hence there is not much of provision. But in the last few years there have been efforts here in Oman to build infrastructure that can handle the flooding if it happens. Especially after the cloud seeding programs have started. Yesterday there was a weather forecast of heavy rains. The forecast are always accurate here in Oman, but normally what happens is it will rain for some time and stop. Yesterday through the day we had heavy rains and in no time many parts of the city got flooded. We had Nowruz celebrations to attend at one of our friend's place and were wondering if it would be a good idea to step out.
