Remarkable Rock is one of the main draw cards of Kangaroo Island, it is on all the brochures and social media. It is not look that big or impressive as you walk to it from the national park's car park. I think it usually cost money to enter the Flinders Chase national park where it is situated but it was free when we were there. Something to do with the blue green Algie problem a lot of the South Australia beaches were having. I think the tourist numbers were down, and they were trying to encourage more people to visit. It is at the western end of Kangaroo Island which seems to be hammered with a lot of wind. It is hard to see the wind in the photos but I suppose you can tell by the fact all the shrubs are low. The walkway sort of feels like a red carpet rolled all the way out to the base of the rock. It is quite expensive to visit this Island maybe we deserved to red carpet treatment. It sort of brought back memories of visiting Ayers Rock in the Northern Territory a long time ago. I
