Good morning, blog friends, how are you? Today I'm taking you with me to a little village decorated for Christmas, a place I forgot to show you but found in the gallery. The town is called Mammiano and is located in the Pistoia mountains, divided between Mammiano Alto and Mammiano Basso. For years, it was very famous in the mountains because the ironworks there employed practically the entire town and surrounding villages. Now, however, it remains a very lively town, with a lot of foot traffic and tourism, especially in the summer. In winter, it's very cold, like all mountain towns, but it's a truly lovely place. I would have loved to visit it in the snow; it would have been very evocative. Maybe next year; this year, it's snowed very little. Mammiano, like many mountain villages, is a small medieval town.
