PraƧa Franklin Roosevelt, better known simply as PraƧa Roosevelt, is a public place located in the central area of the Brazilian city of SĆ£o Paulo, between the streets of Consolação and Augusta. There was a concrete architectural complex built in the 1960s over the underground passage between Elevado Presidente JoĆ£o Goulart and the East-West Connection. The square was also known as PraƧa da Consolação. Originally created without planning, the square was paved in the 1950s without proper leveling of the land, which started to cause landslides that destroyed part of the asphalt. It was from this urbanization that the city's official records began to include the name of the street like PraƧa Roosevelt Franklin Roosevelt Square was built in the 60s over the underground passage between the āMinhocĆ£oā (Elevado Costa e Silva) and the East-West Connection. The project had a lot of concrete and little greenery, a reason that was widely criticized at the beginning, but between the 70s and 80s it
