Praça Franklin Roosevelt, better known simply as Praça Roosevelt, is a public place located in the central area of the Brazilian city of São Paulo, between the streets of Consolação and Augusta. There was a concrete architectural complex built in the 1960s over the underground passage between Elevado Presidente João Goulart and the East-West Connection. The square was also known as Praça da Consolação. Originally created without planning, the square was paved in the 1950s without proper leveling of the land, which started to cause landslides that destroyed part of the asphalt. It was from this urbanization that the city's official records began to include the name of the street like Praça Roosevelt Franklin Roosevelt Square was built in the 60s over the underground passage between the “Minhocão” (Elevado Costa e Silva) and the East-West Connection.
