This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph a large-scale celebration in Lithuania—the 70th anniversary of Kaunas District. As someone who’s passionate about storytelling through photography, this event was a beautiful blend of culture, tradition, community, and personal perseverance. It was also a paid photography assignment, for which I’m deeply grateful. Yet, what made it truly memorable (and incredibly challenging) was that I did it all while having a fever and cold symptoms. It felt like the universe was testing how much I really want this—and I said “yes.” 😁 The event spanned two days, but this post focuses on Day One, which was entirely dedicated to celebrating Kaunas District and its communities.
