Afang soup is a native soup for the Akwa ibomite. It is the one of the popular soup in the South South region. Specially made and dished out in an occasion. Afang soup is a green leaf,plucked, sliced,pounded or grinded in order to prepare the soup. It is served with enough meat, periwinkle,fish/stockfish, and drink (palm wine or any drink of your choice). The best way to enjoy eating afang is with Fufu( called iwa in ibibio).Nothing beats the combo of eating it with Fufu because it passes down the throat smoothly.
