In 2007, I was invited to direct a skateboarding program for Fiz TV, a collaborative branch of Editora Abril. Launched as a pay-TV channel aimed at children and pre-teens, it had an interactive approach, with shows that encouraged viewers to participate via the internet. Anyone could submit content through the FIZTV website, and if selected, it would air on TVA’s programming. The content creators were paid for their contributions. This was the first episode to air, featuring Rodolfo Ramos talking about his beginnings in skateboarding, the differences between his style and that of his brother Wagner Ramos, as well as sponsorship deals, the coolest trips he’s taken, his temperament, the future of skateboarding, and much more.
