Among the wood that had lost its former glory, something caught my attention. It was the Hairy Oyster Mushroom, or Panus lecomtei in Latin. There were two of these mushrooms, one slightly larger and the other smaller. They grew very close together, resembling siblings posing for a photoshoot. It looked simple yet held profound meaning. Both mushrooms grew on a decaying log, silently present, neither making a sound nor demanding attention. Yet, their presence there captivated everyone, especially those who paused to gaze at them. At first glance, their shape might seem ordinary, but upon closer inspection, they revealed a unique shape. Their caps resembled oyster shells, but when viewed from a different angle, they resembled a funnel-shaped fan covered in fine hairs. The stems, meanwhile, appeared dense, also covered in fine hairs. Their color was a soft and fresh light brown. Latin name | Panus lecomtei | - | - | Observation date | 14 Apr, 2026 Camera used | realme 7 Pro Photographers
