Picture Source I remember, I was young as can be, I hopped on a train, fast, wild, and free. And I thought the center of the world was me But as I would grow The train engine slowed I grew angsty and mean Last stop was eighteen. The chores stack up, the questions arise What’s your plan, for your whole life? Find out now Now NOW!!!! But how do I how How!? HOW!!??? They say you have to learn to go dancing in the rain, To smile though the pain, But I’m the type to scream when it’s not fine I’m the type to wait for the sunshine, Adulthood hits like a barreling wave And there is no way for me to be saved Except by myself. I can’t whine I can’t wait for the sunshine ‘Cause it’s not coming The waves don’t stop The other shoe will not drop And after crawling through sand, dirt, all of the mounds Could that be the sun peaking through the clouds?
