It is not in God's nature to want evil to befall His people. God loves us so much to want that to happen to us. God, driven by His love and compassion for humanity sent us His only begotten son. Though the evil cannot be taken away from the world because it has been corrupted, He sent us the gift of our Lord Jesus Christ, not just to save us from eternal damnation but also to secure us from the evil of this world. Proverbs 18:10 The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runneth into it, and is safe. For us to be shielded from this evil surrounding the world we need to stay hooked unto the name of the Lord. That name is a security for we believers. The passage says that those who run into it are saved. Saved from what? The evil of this world.
