Amazon's internal AI agent Kiro has now caused two major AWS outages, knocking out half the internet. In December, Kiro decided to "optimize" the cloud by... simply deleting the current environment to rebuild it from scratch. Logic: no servers = no load issues. Result: 15 hours of downtime, 13 hours of recovery, and engineers turning gray overnight. Amazon's official line? "Not the AI's fault — devs gave it admin rights and went for coffee." 😐 The scariest part: they're not stopping. Amazon plans to expand Kiro's capabilities even further. Apparently two global outages weren't enough — time to finish the internet off for good 😬 Source: https://www.ft.com/content/00c282de-ed14-4acd-a948-bc8d6bdb339d What do you think — AI agents are the future of cloud ops, or we're one bad prompt away from digital apocalypse?
