Every Easter, I feel the need to make a public service announcement because the confusion is real. Rabbits do not lay eggs. Not yesterday, not today, not ever. Yes, there are a few funky mammals out there that lay eggs, but bunnies are absolutely not part of that club. So when you see my Easter décor full of birds and colorful eggs, just know I’m keeping it biologically correct over here. Those cute pastel eggs? Bird eggs. Not bunny eggs. The Easter Bunny is basically the courier here, not the one making the product. It cracks me up every time. We’ve all just accepted this idea of a rabbit handing out eggs it couldn’t possibly produce. Imagine explaining that with a straight face. “No, the bunny doesn’t lay them. Yes, it still brings them. No, I don’t know why. It just does.” Easter bunnies do not lay eggs! Anyway, consider this my friendly reminder: Easter bunnies do not lay eggs. The birds are doing all the work, and I’m giving them the spotlight they deserve. LOL. These colored eggs
