I’ve got a small bunch of Canadian silver coins now, and it all started when @mikegpo sent me two of them. One was the 1964 Elizabeth II Charlottetown–Quebec Confederation dollar, and the other — my favorite — was the 1949 King George VI Newfoundland commemorative dollar. That one really pulled me in. Something about the design and the history just clicked. After that, I’d pick up a coin here and there whenever I remembered. Nothing serious. No big plan. Just casual collecting. If I saw one, I grabbed it. If I didn’t, I didn’t think about it again until the next time. That’s pretty much how I operate with most things anyway. A few stacker-friends added to the pile along the way. @kerrislravenhill sent me a coin I’ll show later, and @fat-elvis sent me the Regina, Saskatchewan 100th anniversary dollar and even a 1954 $5 Bank of Canada note. That note was a cool surprise — old-school design, nice condition, and it fits right in with the silver dollars. https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-h
