Greetings I’m stopping by to share my latest family outing—one of the best of 2026—visiting the Waraira Repano Cable Car System. What is the Waraira Repano Cable Car System, and where is it located? The cable car system is a mode of transportation that uses cabins to take passengers from Venezuela’s capital city (Caracas) up to the highest point of the mountain most significant to all residents of Caracas, formerly known as “El Avila.” This adventure was a unique and special family outing for my wife, my daughter, and me. Where did the journey begin? At the stop for the vans heading to the cable car; you can catch these on the main street of Bellas Artes in the city center, which will drop you off half a block from the main cable car station.
