Last Friday I arrived in Valencia and it turned out to be one of the most vibrant trips I have ever experienced. The city was already deep into the atmosphere of the famous Fallas Festival, which meant that from the moment I stepped into the streets there was energy everywhere. Music, fireworks, parades, people celebrating at all hours, and the smell of food being cooked outdoors created an atmosphere that felt like one huge citywide party. One of the most impressive parts of the experience was the constant activity in the streets. Every neighborhood seemed to have something happening. Large artistic sculptures were standing on the corners, marching bands were passing by, and crowds were gathering for the parades. At night the fireworks were spectacular. The sound echoed across the city and people filled the plazas to watch the sky light up. It felt like the celebration never stopped. Food was also a huge part of the experience.
