Original in Portuguese bellow Sunny Sunday in São Paulo, and I took a gringo friend to check out Vila Madalena. Since he's into art, what better spot than Beco do Batman? I’ve been there many times, and it never disappoints. Art everywhere, craft markets, people from all kinds of tribes, street music, cold craft beer… Vila has a vibe you only understand once you go. Saw a bunch of awesome pieces, but picked two that really stood out. The first one was this little bird perched on a hand. Artwork by William Pimentel. I felt the message was strong. Black and white painting with that yellow background that looks like the sun, and the linework was super sharp. Then we ran into this super floral wall, a collage of a woman’s face with huge flowers. It had a pop art feel mixed with magazine clippings and a serious stare. Visually, it hit hard. This one was right on a corner inside the beco. After walking around the beco for a while, we wandered the other streets of Vila too, which are also ful
