It wasn't baseball, soccer, or anything like that. I really enjoyed speed; I loved to run, and, modesty aside, I wasn't bad at it. So, perhaps for this reason, while I was playing with my friends, pretending to be a great Olympic athlete on the school field, the Physical Education teacher came by one day and asked me if I'd like to participate in the school competitions. My friends and I signed up, and luckily, I won. This really motivated me and encouraged me to keep practicing to improve. Cuando pienso en la escuela en efecto me llega a la mente el deporte que yo solía practicar en esa época, y contrario a lo que quizá ustedes podrían llegar a pensar, no tenía nada que ver con un balón, no era ni beisbol, ni futbol, ni algo parecido. Yo disfrutaba mucho la
