Aside from a few wispy, drifting clouds, the sky was perfectly clear. I can feel the sun's blazing heat and dazzling light. Before I start my day's work, I decided to explore the woods near our home. It's been a while since I went there. I wanted to pick some fruits and wild berries. The scene surprised me. Some tall trees at the entrance were cut down, but bushes grew taller, and I couldn't see the path. Since I've been here multiple times, I asked my husband to clear a path for me. I told him to wear thick boots to protect his feet against prickly plants and animal bites, especially snakes. We don't see snakes out here very often, but it's better to be safe.
