Good evening, #Monomad friends Here is my entry for the #monomad contest by @brumest and @monochromes. While the city’s true charm lies in its people, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia are situated along the banks of the picturesque Douro River. Since its founding, the river has always served as a vital waterway connecting the inland region to the sea. In centuries past, goods were transported by rabelo boats, which are characteristic of this area. Today, the Douro River, in addition to its immense heritage as a fundamental element in the emergence and development of the city of Porto, serves as a gathering place and meeting point for people of all generations, as well as for everyone who visits the “Unconquered City.” I revisited my photo album and found this small collection, which I decided to edit to convey all its magic transformed into just two colors and thousands of shades.
