(ENG) This is my original artwork. "Sprinkling water" Acrylic on Canvas,31.8x41cm,2026 Uchimizu is a traditional Japanese custom of sprinkling water on the ground on hot summer days to lower the temperature through evaporative cooling and create a sense of coolness. However, summers have become so hot recently that it’s unclear whether something as simple as uchimizu can actually make it cooler. In this painting, the red and orange hues represent the air, which seems to be burning with heat, while splashes of light blue paint depict the act of sprinkling water. Still, I wonder if we’ll have another scorching summer this year.
