Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great. This week I’ve been working on a few different things, and one of them was this Forest Healer portrait. I painted it while I was streaming on Blaze, so it was one of those pieces that slowly grows while you’re also hanging out with people in chat. The whole process was pretty chill tbh. I started with the idea of the character and just let the drawing take shape little by little. Sometimes I like working like that, without planning too much and just seeing where the image wants to go. One funny thing about this piece is that I used the same brush for almost the entire drawing. It’s not really my favorite brush or anything, but it’s one I’ve been using a lot lately, so I’m pretty comfortable with it at this point. I spent quite a while working in grayscale first. I like doing that because it helps me focus on the light, shadows, and the overall mood before even thinking about color. It kinda feels like building the foundation
