Korea is nearing the top three in the global AI market. In a global AI survey, Korea ranked third among countries with many good AI models after the U.S. and China. According to the "2026 AI Index" published by Stanford University's Human-Centered AI Research Institute (HAI) on the 13th (local time), Korea recorded five in the "2025 number of notable AI models released." It ranked third after the U.S. (50), and China (30), up a notch from last year's ranking. The figure is higher than that of major advanced countries including Canada, France, and the U.K. (joint fourth and one each).
