The U.S. military attacked a large bridge near Tehran, the capital of Iran, after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a high-intensity attack on Iran in a speech to the nation. It is noteworthy that the air strike on key infrastructure facilities was carried out after President Trump's threat to "return it to the Stone Age." President Trump strongly pressured Iran to reach an agreement, posting a video of the bombing, signaling an additional attack. At 12:30 p.m. Eastern time on the 2nd, President Trump posted a 10-second video of a large bridge soaring black smoke as a large bridge was attacked and collapsed, saying on social media Truth Social, "Iran's largest bridge collapsed and became unusable again. More will continue." He continued, "It's time for Iran to come to an agreement before it's too late, before there's nothing left to make it a great country!" The bridge is a "B1 bridge" in the Karaz region, about 35 kilometers southwest of Tehran, the Iranian capital, AFP reported.
