U.S. Vice President JD Vance said on the 13th (local time) that "it is entirely up to Iran to decide whether further talks will take place in the future and ultimately reach an agreement." Vice President Vance said in an interview with Fox News on the same day, "We have already offered a lot (to Iran)." "Now the ball is on the Iranian side," he said. Vice President Vance, who led a U.S. delegation to negotiate with Iran in Pakistan from the 11th to the 12th, explained that the U.S. came out of the negotiations because the Iranian negotiators did not have the authority to reach a final agreement. "I think we've got some sense of how the Iranian side negotiates, and that's the ultimate reason why we left Pakistan," Vance said. "According to our understanding, the negotiating team there was not capable of reaching an agreement and had to return to Tehran (Iran's capital) to get approval from the supreme leader or someone else on the terms we set out," he said.
