English version Most rivers flow into the sea or ocean, usually originating at the highest points of plains or mountains. For example, the Manzanares River runs through much of the city of Cumanacoa, in the municipality of Montes, where several smaller tributaries join and feed it, increasing its flow. It then travels from the aforementioned city to the city of CumanĂ¡. Before reaching the capital of Sucre state, other tributaries join it, such as the San Juan River. It is very sad to see how this source of fresh water, which is used by local residents who treat and purify it for safe consumption, has become increasingly polluted with sewage, oils, fats, and other contaminants. On the banks of the Manzanares River, waste materials and solids that have nothing to do with the nature of the river can be seen. Its flow has also been reduced, as shown in the photograph.
