I am pleased to perform with my trumpet «Risk It All», a beautiful romantic bolero with mariachi influence composed by Bruno Mars, Dernst Emile II, Philip Lawrence, and James Fauntleroy as part of the album The Romantic (2026). I love the lyrics; it is undoubtedly a promise of love to the person one loves: to climb mountains, cross seas, learn to fly if necessary. I perform this piece in the key of F major, with a slight modulation to Ab major. The melody seems incredible to me because it conveys a feeling of warmth and longing. It has a time signature of 4/4, a relaxed rhythm that gradually grows progressively. It begins with the plucked and reflective sound of the guitar, and then the orchestra joins in.
